Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Class(WSI)

Sucessful completion of the Red Cross Water Safety Instructor class certifies you to teach Red Cross swimming lessons. The course also covers the philosophy and standards to become a representative of the Red Cross. A competitive swimming background is helpful but not necessary. Your strokes must meet level V standards, including front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly, elementary back stroke and side stroke. The comprehensive course includes Red Cross Fundamentals of Instructor Training course. Participants may be tested prior to the first day of class to confirm qualifications.
