Soccer Starting Fall 2024

Soccer Starting Fall 2024

Hartland United FC provides an age-based curriculum to help develop the appropriate skills for each child. In-house teams (birth years 2017-2020) will play against other HUFC In-house teams in a 4v4 format. Recreational Travel players, (birth years 2010-2016), will play games against regional teams in the Western Suburban Soccer League (WSSL). 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 formats are played based on player age as determined by US Soccer.

Registrations: Teams are formed on a first come/first served basis. When all teams are full the registration will be listed as “Wait List”. Please join the wait list. Additional teams will be added when there are enough players on list. It may be difficult to honor any requests for later registrations.

Drop Fees: Up till July 15 - $10 drop fee; after July 15 - $25 fee; after August 7 - NO REFUNDS

Team Rosters: For in-house teams, the goal is to create balanced competition. This may mean dominate players/teams will be separated. For Recreational Travel, teams will be assigned to divisions based on the team’s skill level. Players may be assigned to teams based on what is determined the best fit for the whole club.

Requests: 1-2 Buddy requests may be made. HUFC will try to honor as many buddy requests as possible. When possible HUFC will attempt to keep teams together from one season to the next. No coach requests will be considered. No requests to play down will be considered.
Requests to play up will only be considered under the following circumstances:
1. There must be an open roster spot on a team at the higher level.
2. Player must demonstrate the skills necessary and the ability to safely play in the higher division. (a skills test may be required).
3. Player’s parent may be required to coach the team, training and background check must be completed before registration deadline.

Schedules: 2019/2020 players will practice on Mondays. 2017/2018 players will practice on Wednesday.
In-house teams (birth years 2017-2020) will play games on Saturday Mornings. Practice schedules for 2010-2016 players will be set by volunteer coach. 4 home and 4 away games will be played in the Western Suburban Soccer League. Most games will be on weekends. Away games typically within 30-60 minute drive.

Coaching: All teams are coached by volunteers. All volunteer coaches must have an active risk management/background check and concussion and safe sport training. If you are interested in coaching, please include a note when registering, refunds will be issued after training is confirmed.

Uniforms: If you are new to the program or need a different size, please order a uniform separately from the registration. If you have a uniform from a previous season that still fits, you may continue to use that uniform. All players must have a blue and white uniform which is included in the uniform kit.

For additional information on any of these items or if you have other questions, please email HartlandUnitedFC@gmail.com or visit HartlandUnitedFC.com.
