3. Recital classes

Please note that our program is set up into 2 semesters, fall (learning the basics, combinations, etc.) and winter (building and working on our recital piece). All classes are recital classes (except 6 week classes) but this does not mean your child has to participate in the recital. We do not force any child into anything they are not comfortable with. If your child decides not to do the recital, they may still participate in both the fall and winter sessions. Please do understand that if you decide not to continue in the winter, there is no open registration for new classes, meaning you cannot drop ballet in the fall and try tap in the winter. Classes remain the same from the fall to the winter session and the day and time will stay the same.

IMPORTANT DATES:

September 11-14 – Dance Starts

October 31 - NO DANCE

November 22-24 - No Dance - Thanksgiving Break

December 21- January 2 – No Dance – Holiday Break

January 3 - School and Dance resume

January 15 (MLK Day) – WE WILL HAVE DANCE.

February 23-26 – No Dance – Mid-Winter Break

March 26-April 2 – No Dance – Spring Break

May 12, 2018 – MANDATORY DRESS REHEARSAL & PICTURES

May 18 &19, 2018 – RECITALS – PLAN ON PARTICIPATING IN BOTH SHOWS



Dress Code: ALL HAIR must be pulled away from the face (for all levels/classes).

Ballet/Pointe Classes: Wear leotard, skirt/shorts and tights of any color.

Highland: Wear tight leggings, shorts, or capris. No long pants.

All other classes: Leotards are recommended but not required. Wear fitted clothing like t-shirts, tanks, shorts, capris, or dance skirts. Tights are optional for class but required for recital.

Boys- comfortable clothes such as sweatpants and t-shirt.

Everyone- NO JEANS
